Choosing a mobile workflow
Aight vs Claude Remote Control for iPhone
Published by Aight. This comparison uses official documentation checked ; it is not a hands-on performance test. Features and requirements can change.
The short answer
Start with Claude Remote Control if your main goal is to continue local Claude Code work from your iPhone. It connects the Claude app to a session on your computer, including its local files and tools. Consider Aight when you also want to organize other supported agents in one app or evaluate a voice-centered workflow.
Local access alone is not a reason to switch: both approaches can connect you to Claude Code running on your computer. The useful question is whether Aight makes your regular mobile workflow easier.
What each option adds to your setup
Remote Control is Anthropic’s native route. You can enable it in an existing session with /remote-control and open that session on your phone. Your computer and Claude Code process must remain running. Check Anthropic’s current account and organization requirements before setting it up.
Aight’s documented Claude Code connection uses a channel plugin and phone pairing. Messages pass through a relay. Its Claude Code page describes session management, live tool activity, push-to-talk, and conversational voice. Voice setup depends on your configured speech components.
Four questions that make the decision clearer
1. What do you actually need to do away from your desk?
Write down three recurring actions, such as checking a test run, asking a follow-up question, and reviewing a proposed change. Try those before comparing long feature lists. If the native route handles them comfortably, another app needs to solve a different, specific problem. Occasional mobile access and daily mobile coordination can justify different choices.
2. Are you organizing Claude sessions or several kinds of agents?
Remote Control also supports multiple concurrent sessions in server mode, so session count alone is an incomplete comparison. Aight lists Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenClaw, and Hermes as supported connections. If you already use several of those, evaluate the practical benefit of one interface. Confirm the exact features available for each backend rather than assuming that every mode behaves identically.

3. Will you use voice often enough to change your routine?
Aight is worth evaluating if speaking instructions is a regular part of how you want to work. Test a realistic instruction with file names, technical terms, and a correction. Check whether you can review what was understood before a consequential action. Include speech setup, provider requirements, and any usage charges in your evaluation. A pleasant voice demo does not establish that the full coding workflow suits you.
4. What happens when the connection or your attention drops?
Check reconnect behavior, how clearly the app identifies the active project, and whether you can tell that work is waiting on you. Treat notifications as a separate requirement: Aight’s support page currently lists push notifications for OpenClaw mode and excludes Channels mode. Anthropic documents mobile push notifications for Remote Control. If unattended Claude Code work is your main use case, verify notification behavior before choosing.
Compare data handling and total cost separately
Running code locally does not mean every message stays on your computer. Anthropic documents server-side transcript storage for Remote Control. Aight documents a Channels relay and separate speech-provider data flows. Review the actual mode and providers you will use; a local-execution label is not a complete privacy assessment.

For cost, separate the mobile app, agent or model access, and optional speech services. Check current checkout terms and included limits. A lower app price does not establish a lower total cost for your workflow.
Make the choice with one representative task
Use a non-sensitive test project. From your iPhone, find the right session, ask a question about the project, inspect the response and visible activity, then leave and return. Record any steps that require going back to your computer. Add a second agent and a spoken instruction only if those reflect your real work.
Keep Remote Control if it already covers the job. Evaluate Aight if cross-backend organization or voice solves a repeated frustration. Choose on demonstrated fit, including setup and maintenance, rather than the largest collection of feature checkmarks.
